Everyone needs some library levity...

All the talk of Michael Gorman blogging for Britannica has been amusing, and spurred some really interesting commentary! One of the most amusing is David Lee King's I'm No Antidigitalist. This led me to David's discussion of library-related uses for Twitter -- although from way back in March -- which is also really good.

On a more serious note: Going to ALA? Please go to the LITA BIGWIG Social Software Showcase and let me know how it was! From their Wiki:

We will also be having a face to face roundtable discussion with some of our presenters at ALA Annual in Washington D.C. on Saturday, June 23rd, from 1:30-2:30 in the Renaissance Mayflower Cabinet Room. If you are in D.C. please come and join us.
More RILA and NELIG notes coming soon...

I'll try to check out the LITA event. I have an "inter-generational workplace" NMRT discussion group thing around that time but I'll try to do both!

And that is hilarious about Gorman, btw. I saw him at Midwinter and nudged my friend, "LOOK! LOOK! IT'S MICHAEL GORMAN! OMG! Gotta write about this incident on my blog!" Hahaha.
